Who we are

What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address, from Google or Apple when you sign in.
- What you enter: job descriptions, your CV text and other details you add.
- What the app makes: your cover letters, tailored CVs and interview prep sheets.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored with Google Firebase in the EU (europe-west3, Frankfurt), using Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage and Cloud Functions.
How your documents are written
To write your documents, the text of your CV and the job description is sent to the Google Gemini API, which processes it for us using AI. We use Gemini's paid tier, under which Google does not use your data to train its models. The app asks for your consent on a screen before anything is sent. On the paid tier, Google logs prompts for a limited time for abuse monitoring only. Transfers to Google run under Google's data processing terms and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Payments and subscriptions
Apple and Google handle payment. We never see your card details. RevenueCat manages your subscription status and receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts.
Crash reports and analytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports so we can fix problems. There are no ads and no ad tracking. Any usage analytics run only if you agree to them.
How long we keep it
We delete your data 6 months after your last activity, and we email you 14 days before we do. You can delete your account and all your data in the app at any time. If you signed in with Apple, this also revokes Apple sign-in. You can also export your data from the app. To delete your account another way, see How to delete your Apply Pack account.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, EU GDPR and the Swiss FADP, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to how we use it. Email info@upscaler.net. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK.
What we never do
We never sell your data.
